| Final test is Pats' biggest in run at history
Manning, although it's Eli and not Peyton. It's one team aiming for a shot at 19-0 and history, and another hoping to steal the spotlight on a worldwide stage. "It's not complete unless we win," Patriots safety Rodney Harrison said. "Right now, at this point, it's a great team. We've worked extremely hard. We believe in one another. It's a tremendous ride that we're on right now and we're trying not to take anything for granted." The Patriots are confident, and they should be. They set the NFL record for most points scored in a season. Brady set the league standard for touchdown passes in a season with 50. Randy Moss bested Jerry Rice's league mark for most touchdown receptions with 23. Their only blemish all year was the "Spygate" incident in Week 1, in which the Patriots were heavily fined and lost a first-round draft pick for videotaping the New York Jets' defensive signals.

Garden State is about New Jersey, an area of the US only familiar to most British viewers through the lens of The Sopranos. A preview in E! Online says Braff 'plays a struggling, antidepressant-addled actor returning home to New Jersey for his mother's funeral' and credits the movie as a sign of Braff's 'blooming career'. I enjoyed Scrubs, but I am always a little depressed at how, like several other of the best American comedies, it tends to descend into a schmaltzy 'but seriously ...' moment just before the credits roll. Braff's weblog also leans towards the saccharine. For example he tells readers in a post thanking people for going to see the film: 'You are truly making a difference just by going to check it out.' Making a difference to what? His bank balance? World peace? Cinematographic history? I daren't ask.

Anger over speed camera car in bus bay
Peter Blakey, 50, a self-employed commercial manager, said: "Drivers are not allowed to park on that stop so why should the police be allowed? It could potentially be a bit of a hazard." But others said they did not have a problem with the checks, which are carried out by Thames Valley Safer Roads Partnership. Barbara Wasp, 79, said: "There is room enough for the bus and the police. It certainly makes the cars slow down." Jeanette Crawford, 56, who runs a garden maintenance business, said: "For the amount of times a bus pulls up the time the speed camera is there then I don't think it makes an awful lot of difference." Dan Campsall, spokesman for the camera partnership, said police were entitled to use the bays. Bus companies are consulted and risk assessments are carried out to ensure the obstruction does not cause a danger to drivers, he said.

The gloves that Susan Little wears each winter were a Christmas gift from her husband in 1965. Now, many of the employees who work for Little in the student financial aid office at the University of Georgia are far younger than her gray and navy blue hand warmers, and as a manager, she regularly confronts issues raised by the generation gap. .
Father Foley Cape Cod abuse case settled For $550,000
The Archdiocese of Hartford agreed this week to pay $550,000 to a man who accused the Rev. Stephen Foley of using his position as Hartford County fire chaplain to sodomize him when he was a 14-year-old parishioner in Windsor Locks. Foley, who has been accused of abuse by at least 11 men since 1993 and was removed from public ministry in 2002, is still affiliated with the county fire organization he belonged to when the alleged assault occurred. He now holds the title of "chaplain emeritus" of the group, according to board members... The current president of the group is Windsor Locks Fire Chief Gary Ruggiero. Haber said Ruggiero sent an e-mail to the board of directors Friday criticizing the newspaper for publishing a story last Sunday that exposed Foley's continued use of a police-equipped Crown Victoria with flashing lights, sirens and scanners... abuse took place on a weekend when the boy and his friend accompanied Foley to a home on Cape Cod, which Foley said was owned by his aunt, the brief said.
Dan Gross: Fox traffic anchor: No accident?
SHARP-EYED viewers have noticed that Fox 29 traffic anchor Dorothy Krysiuk has not been wearing her wedding ring recently. We contacted Krysiuk, who married Anthony Marasa in August 2005. She appreciated our inquiry, but doesn't wish to comment about her personal life. Efforts to reach Marasa, who works in sales, were unsuccessful. Jacky Bam Bam back in action 93.3 WMMR overnight host Jacky Bam Bam was back on air Friday night after being sidelined for a couple of weeks while recuperating from throat surgery. Bam Bam, who recently led the Adelphia Fancy Club in its Mummers Parade debut, reported that his thyroid was removed by "the wonderful staff at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital." "I guess screaming on a microphone for years just blew up my throat," Bam Bam wrote us the other day.
