The Bulldogs' 2-3 zone is keeping Penn Hills from the easy looks it was getting in the first half. Remember, DeSoto trailed by 15 in the second quarter. *** It's halftime here in our first consolation game of the day and Penn Hills is winning 37-26 over DeSoto. Budget story wasn’t fair to union employees
I figured the best way to find out about him was to read his two books, and to read "between the lines." I’m a 78-year-old white guy and thought I was pretty wise, but I was amazed at the insight and wisdom of this 45-year-old black guy. He has such an ability to capsulate both sides of a problem or idea and give his reasoning for deciding on his solution. For example: On page 89 of his "Audacity of Hope" book, he discusses the Constitution from the strict constructionist viewpoint and on page 90 he gives the living-document point of view and why he favors it. This type of discussion is given in every chapter of the book — values, politics, opportunity, etc. To find out about Obama, read his books. Now comes the question, would he be a good president? We know that the president sets the agenda and the political philosophy for his administration, but the last six years has taught us that the administrators and the political party actually perform the work (or dirty work) of governing.

Pay Attention to These Stocks
And a University of Chicago study found that since SOX passed, "The frequency of foreign listings on the NYSE and Nasdaq has fallen by nearly 63%." Furthermore, the study showed not just a decrease in new listings, but an increase in delistings because SEC regulation is so costly. Dutch giant Ahold, one such delister, said the "benefits of maintaining a U.S. registration and a NYSE listing have declined over time." OuchThis migration has happened while international stocks have flat-out sizzled. In fact, the day SOX went into law, U.S. companies made up nine of the 10 largest companies on our domestic exchanges (BP (NYSE: BP) was the lone foreigner). Today, that number is down to three: ExxonMobil (NYSE: XOM), General Electric (NYSE: GE), and Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT).
Kidd Lifts Nets Following Trade Comments
Kidd is under contract through the end of next season and will make $19.7 million this year and $21.3 million next year. Kidd was acquired in a trade with Phoenix in 2001 and led the Nets to the NBA finals in 2002 and 2003. But his six-plus seasons have been tinged with off-court controversy. His wife, Joumana, and their young son were subjected to taunts at Boston Garden in 2002 stemming from charges that he struck her in 2001 while playing for the Suns. Kidd was fined and underwent anger counseling. Last year, both spouses filed restraining orders claiming physical abuse, and Joumana Kidd claimed in divorce papers that her husband cheated on her throughout their 10-year marriage. In December, a 23-year-old model filed a lawsuit accusing Kidd of groping and threatening her at a Manhattan nightclub in October.
