It may never be possible to eliminate these new groups, but it might be possible to reduce their recruiting power and to minimise the damage they are able to inflict. If the aim is to reduce the insecurities that provide a breeding ground for extreme ideologies, then such a strategy ultimately amounts to a global agenda for progressive governance. But it is possible to draw out some more specific strands of policy. First of all, such a strategy has to involve the protection of civilians and the capture and arrest of criminals responsible for violence in order to deal with the immediate risks. And this applies to all forms of illegal violence (war crimes, crimes against humanity, genocide, massive violations of human rights, as well as private crime) not just terrorism. But it is important that countering violence is treated as law enforcement not war.

Farad gave him access to the computer lab and, with a programmers' help, Saad learned to type and use the programming language BASIC in just one year. At the time, the university had no software for blind students, but Saad knew that such software was available abroad. With a one-year scholarship to study in the United States, the young engineer learned how software could be harnessed to help the blind. Farad recounts, “After one year, Mohamed came with a lot of information about using computers for blind people, like listening [to digitized audiobook files], Braille [and] printing books in Braille." This is how the Computer Unit for Blind Students was born at the Dokki campus of Cairo University, explains Farad.
Report says men approached teen near school
Collier County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a report of a suspicious incident involving a child as she walked home from school in Golden Gate on Tuesday. Reports say the girl's mother told deputies that her 14-year-old daughter had been approached by two males in a white car as she walked home along Tropicana Boulevard from Golden Gate Middle School in the afternoon. The males, described as around 17 years old, made a U-turn and slowly pulled up behind her when one of the males yelled, “Get in the car and ride with us." The girl ignored them and continued walking. When other traffic behind the car began blowing their horns for them to move, the car drove away. No other details were available. .

I had the luck of being at the Packer game last Sunday. What a game and what a day! After spotting the Seahawks 14-points, the Packers looked like an absolutely unstoppable team. And when that snow fell down, it was like being inside a snow globe, you couldn't see the people who were sitting in the stands on the other side of the stadium. But it wasn't cold! In fact, I kept my gloves off for most of the game. When my clothes became sogged was a different story, however. A hot shower never felt so good. As for the game this weekend. On paper they should win, but the Giants are really on a roll right now.

There are only a handful of musicians making that kind of coin...listen, it's the smaller, middle of the road bands that get the shaft, and they make up about 95% of the industry. That means a five piece band that could make $100,000 (20, 000 per member), and make a living doing music ( a crappy living at that)...now only makes about $30,000 and can hardly even stay alive, let alone keep playing music. Keep it in perspective and realize that about 1 in a million musicians is really a millionare...most of them barely scrape by as it is. It's a shame people have such a flippant attitude about stealing peoples jobs away and making it so thousands of musicians have to give up playing because they no longer can make enough money to stay afloat. Ridiculous. .
